4247 Has Arrived at Cranmore Station!

GWR 2-8-0T 4247 made its way over to us on the back of a lorry having departed from Bodmin. The loco is to be overhauled by the ESR as a contract job following an agreement between the owners, 4247 Ltd and The Dartmouth Steam Railway which will see the loco on hire to the DSR for a 20 year period. Work on 4247 will not start untul the current project 4110 is completed later this year. In the meantime, visitors will be able to see the loco up close, in or around The Engine Shed at Cranmore.
