Shop: 10am - 4.30pm.
Whistlestop Café: 10am - 3.30pm.
On days we are not in Steam (March – December)
Office & Shop: Tuesday – Friday, 10.30am - 3.30pm.
Whistlestop Café: Closed.
Christmas & New Year
The whole of the Railway will be closed. 25th December-2nd January 2019
January & February
Office & Shop: Tuesday - Friday, 10.30am - 3.30pm.
Office Telephone Lines: Tuesday - Thursday, 10.30am - 12pm.
Whistlstop Café: Closed.

Signal Box Opening Times 2018

  • March 24th, 25th, 30th & 31st
  • April 1st & 2nd
  • May 6th, 7th, 28th & 30th
  • June 13th & 20th
  • July 4th, 11th, 18th, 24th & 25th
  • August 1st, 8th, 11th, 15th, 22nd, 25th, 26th, 27th & 29th
  • September 12th & 26th
  • October 3rd, 27th, 28th & 31st

Please note all dates subject to availability

Every effort will be made to open the Signal Box for tours according to the timetable but unforeseen circumstances may entail alteration or cancellation. The East Somerset Railway reserves the right to change the Signal Box opening times without prior notice.

  • August 1st, 8th, 11th, 15th, 22nd, 25th, 26th, 27th & 29th
  • September 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th
  • October 3rd, 27th, 28th & 31st

£1 fare, payable at the Miniature Railway on the day.

We apologise but if it is raining or bad weather, the Miniature Railway might not be running.
