Come and visit our new permanent exhibition devoted to the art and work of our founder, David Shepherd. The exhibition is sited in a restored carriage on the cattle dock and is open during running days. It features the ESR's collection of framed David Shepherd prints - all donated by the public over the years - and shows the wide range of his subject matter - way beyond elephants and steam trains!

There are also information boards featuring little known facts as well as some memorabilia donated by his family. You can sit in a comfy chair and enjoy listening to him tell his story - or browse through some of his books.

There will be an official opening of the exhibition on Thursday August 15th, combined with the launch of David's son-in-law, Jeremy Hobson's new biography, 'The Artist and his Railways'.
