Join us at the East Somerset Railway and enjoy this quintessentially British treat on-board our Mendip Belle Dining carriages.  A delicious selection of sandwiches, followed by mouth-watering dainties and finally a scone, with preserve and clotted cream, all served with a sparkling glass of prosecco (a non-alcoholic drink is available by request at time of booking).

Your Sparkling Afternoon Tea train departs at 3.30pm from Cranmore Station.  Sit back and relax on the Mendip Belle dining carriages with a delicious Afternoon Tea whilst steaming through the rolling hills of Somerset and watching the world go by.  

This experience also includes unlimited train rides on the East Somerset Railway for the day of your Sparkling Afternoon High Tea, travelling through the Somerset countryside along our 2.5 miles of track from our main station at Cranmore to Mendip Vale Station where you can watch the locomotive turn.  Explore our history through the David Shepherd Discovery Centre, the museum and ticket office then take a walk to our engine shed where you can see the work being carried out by our volunteers and check out the locomotives not in steam.  Throughout your visit, our knowledgeable volunteers will be on hand to help you with any queries.

The Sparkling Afternoon Tea includes the following per person:

4 finger sandwiches with a selection of fillings
1 scone (with jam and clotted cream)
3 dainties (miniature cakes)
1 glass of prosecco
(a non-alcoholic drink is available by request at time of booking)
