Join us at the East Somerset Railway for a day steeped in Britain's Railway Heritage. Take unlimited train rides through the Somerset countryside along our 2.5 miles of track from our main station at Cranmore to Mendip Vale Station where you can watch the locomotive turn. Explore our history through the David Shepherd Discover Centre, the museum and ticket office then take a walk to our engine shed where you can see the work being carried out by our volunteers and check out the locomotives not in steam. Throughout your visit our knowledgable volunteers will be on hand to help you with any queries.

Your Cream Tea train departs at 3.30pm from Cranmore Station. Sit back and relax on the Mendip Belle dining carriages with a delicious Cream Tea whilst steaming through the rolling hills of Somerset and watching the world go by. Enjoy a quintessentially British and nostalgic experience which will tantalise your tastebuds and wet your whistle with lashing of tea and coffee. 

This experience also includes unlimited rail travel on the East Somerset Railway for the day of your Cream Tea so you are welcome to enjoy other trains throughout the day as well as explore all that The East Somerset Railway has to offer.

Each passanger in our Cream Tea dining carraiges will have 2 plain scones with clotted cream and jam as well as tea, coffee or a soft drink.

Allergen Advice: The Scones contain gluten, eggs, milk and possibly sesame. The Cream and Butter contain milk.
