We happily welcome groups for Day Rover Tickets, Dining Trains, Events and use of our Car Park.
With our Day Rover Tickets we can offer the Concession rate for groups of 20+ passengers. If you have a large group please either email us or telephone 01749 880417 (Monday-Friday 10.30am-3.30pm) to let us know the date you would like to visit, passenger numbers and if you have any wheelchairs in your party. Tickets can be either pre-paid or paid for on the day at the Ticket Office. We can also offer Engine Shed and Workshop and Signal Box tours free of charge but these need to be pre-booked with the ESR Office.
We have a large, free car park that can accommodate several coaches and disabled spaces at the front. If you need flat access to the platform, please take the small lane to the right of our main entrance (signed no entry but please ignore this). Follow this lane to the old station buildings and you will find a couple of disabled parking spaces and a drop off/pick up area with flat access to the platform.
With our Dining Trains we can accommodate groups to a maximum of one carriage (64 seats).
We offer several lovely dining experiences, ranging from a traditional plated Sunday Lunch, to the treat of a Cream Tea and a little more luxury with a Sparkling Afternoon Tea.
All Dining Trains have a fixed ticket price and we are sorry but we are unable to offer a concessionary rate.
If you would like to provisionally book any of our Dining Trains please either email us or telephone 01749 880417 (Tuesday-Friday 10.30am-3.30pm, press option 3) to let us know the date of the service and your passenger numbers. We will require a deposit to secure the seats and passenger numbers will need to be confirmed at least 1 month before train departure, accompanied by the balance payment. If you book a Sunday Lunch, menu and drinks choices will be needed at this time also.
On Event days with standard ticket prices we can offer the Concession rate for groups of 20+ passengers. If you have a large group please either email us or telephone 01749 880417 (Tuesday-Friday 10.30am-3.30pm, press option 3) to let us know the date you would like to visit, passenger numbers and if you have any wheelchairs in your party. Tickets can be either pre-paid or paid for on the day at the Ticket Office.
On Yellow Event All Inclusive Days and Santa Specials we are unable to offer a concessionary rate.
History is brought to life with a school visit to Cranmore Station.
There are several themes available (see below) and your visit will be scheduled around the one you choose. You can combine the learning sessions with any other activities that you wish to include or attractions that you wish to see: the signal box, the miniature railway, the Engine Shed and of course the steam train ride itself, a 35-40min glide through the countryside.
MORE INFORMATIONWe happily host photo shoots and art groups as a picturesque location; car, motorcycle and bicycle rallies as a stop off point on their journey; allow ramblers and horse riders to use our car park as a base for their day out in the lovely Somerset air; as well as caravan club groups who park overnight
(all subject to availibilty).
If you would like to use our car park for any similar events please either email us or telephone 01749 880417 (Monday-Friday 10.30am-3.30pm, press option 3) to let us know the date you would like to visit, visitor/vehicle numbers and the type of event.
There is a small charge or donation for use of our facilities and if you visit on a day we are in steam, your group is more than welcome to use our toilets, café, ride the train (ticket prices apply) and look around the railway. On days we are not in steam but the ESR Office is open your group is welcome to use our toilets.
