Volunteer Recruitment Day 9th March 2025

Whether you would like to be in a public facing role or behind the scenes in a workshop we have volunteering opportunities for everyone! Guards, Travelling Ticket Inspectors, Platform Staff, Ticket Office and Shop Assistants are needed during our running season, March to October. There are year round opportunities to maintain our steam locos, work on restoring vintage carriages and the Signal Box and maintaining the track and its environs. 

The Volunteer Recruitment Day begins at 10.30 when we meet in the Waiting Room on the platform. After a train trip we will show you around the site, meeting teams of volunteers who will talk about the various roles.
