2010 Welcome

Steam through the rolling Mendip countryside on a day out at the East Somerset Railway.

Slow the pace of life with a ride on the East Somerset Railway Steam Train.  Enjoy the five mile round journey watching the rolling Mendip countryside slide slowly by. Take a nostalgic trip, remembering steam trains from your childhood or find out how rail travel used to be.

We can take you back in time,  with the hooting and puffing of the engine, the guard's whistle and the billowing steam. Return to the 'good old days' before the advent of computers and mobile phones!
