Fancy a taster of what it is like to drive a locomotive? Well you can with our Driver for a Tenner on selected days.
For just £10 you can take the control of a steam locomotive in the sidings.
DRIVER FOR A TENNER IS RUN WITH THE SMALL ENGINE, LADY NAN
Our general advice is that children under 5 are likely to be a bit frightened, so we don’t recommend Driver for a Tenner for them. Children between 5 and 16 years can do it providing they are accompanied by a responsible adult and it is always at the Driver’s discretion.
Maximum of two visitors to travel on the locomotive.
Visitors must be able to mount and dismount to/from the footplate, about 3 foot, via three vertical steps without assistance from the crew.
The last journey will run at about 3 pm.
The drivers decision to accept or reject persons onto the footplate must be accepted. If a pre-purchased ticket is refused, a refund will be available from Cranmore Station.
