Cream Tea
Your cream tea train departs at 3.30pm from Cranmore Station. Sit back and relax on the Mendip Belle dining carriages with a delicious cream tea whilst steaming through the rolling hills of Somerset and watching the world go by. Enjoy a quintessentially British and nostalgic experience which will tantalise your tastebuds and wet your whistle.
Plain scones are served with local clotted cream, Somerset butter and strawberry jam along with a pot of tea (coffee also available).
IT IS REALLY IMPORTANT TO LET US KNOW AT THE TIME OF BOOKING IF YOU HAVE ANY SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS AS THERE WILL NOT BE AN OPPORTUNITY TO AMEND THE ORDER ON THE TRAIN

If you have a voucher for a WHISTLESTOP cream tea, you need to book a WHISTLESTOP CREAM TEA ticket.
You will receive the voucher for tea in our Whistlestop cafe on arrival at our ticket office.

Although your Cream Tea is only served on the 3.30pm train you are welcome to travel on earlier trains, should you wish, as well as visit our Engine Shed and Workshop and other points of interest around the railway.
Allergen Advice: The Scones contain gluten, eggs, milk and possibly sesame. The Cream and Butter contain milk.
Terms & Conditions
Every effort will be made to run the trains and our Cream Tea services according to the timetable but unforeseen circumstances may entail alteration or cancellations. The East Somerset Railway reserves the right to vary any of the provisions of this service without prior notice.
Please note Dogs (except assist dogs) are not allowed on dining trains.
