23rd - 24th March 2019
Steam, smoke and lots of oily parts!
Passenger trains, freight, brake vans and tankers create the complete steam atmosphere.
Throughout this weekend we showcase our rolling stock, to give you a vision of life before modern technology. Ride in the brake van, watch the shunting, or sit in comfort in a vintage carriage all day if you like! Our day rover ticket allows you access to all this, as well as visiting our Engine Shed and Workshop to fulfil your need for steam. Talk to our staff and see how passionate we are about our trains and the bygone era of steam.
Driver for a Tenner will be running from the Engine Shed and you will get the opportunity to drive a lovely diesel locomotive, an experience not to be missed.
The Miniature Railway will be operating alongside the main line so get a different perspective (£1 fare). Here you can enjoy a rest in our picnic area, which is adjacent to the main line.
The Whistlestop Cafe will be serving hot and cold food, cakes and refreshments all day.
Passenger trains 11.10am, 12.05pm, 2.00pm, 3.55pm
Goods Trains 10.10am, 1.05pm, 3.00pm.
The 3pm train on both days will be a double header with 5637 & 46447!
