Railtour Visit

16th Mar 2019

16th March 2019

An exciting day for the ESR, as UK Railtours are visiting on 'The Somerset Strimmer' and arriving from the main line!

Hauled by a Class 59/2 loco (a class very much associated with the Mendips) the tour will depart from London Victoria on their tour to Somerset.  When they reach the East Somerset Junction, the train will drive onto a piece of track that hasn't been used for years (as you can see from the picture on the right but the line will be cleared in time!) and slowly approach Cranmore Station from the east.

The tour is sold out, so why not come and join us to watch this unique event!
