Wagons

East Somerset Railway - Wagons

The East Somerset Railway has a varied collection of wagons which show some of the range of items carried on freight trains during the BR era and the variety of jobs which they were used for. Wagons are mainly used during gala weekends in demonstration freight trains and it is always interesting and entertaining to see and hear a type of train which, although once common, has disappeared from today’s national network. It is our aim to try to restore as many of these historic vehicles as possible.
