Photo Gallery for 'Duro USA Tank 30075'
30075 is Yugoslavian copy of the USA Tank engines brought to the Uk during the Second World War, and used by the Southern Railway after the war. Built in 1962, this engine came to the UK in 1990 and was restored at the Swanage Railway. After visiting the ESR in 1996 and 1997, it was withdrawn from service with boiler problems. In 2002 an agreement was reached with the owning group for the engine to come to the ESR to be restored. After a 2 year restoration, the engine returned to service in 2004. Further pictures of the engine, can be found in the "Yankee Tank miscellany" gallery under Restoration, 2004, in various event galleries.
