Photo Gallery for 'Mendip Vale'
Mendip Vale Station is currently the end of the line for the East Somerset Railway and consists of a single platform. All trains terminate here and there is a 15 minute wait whilst the locomotive runs round the train to form the return journey. Whilst the extension to Mendip Vale was opened in June 1985, the station was not opened until 1993. Since that date, there have been proposals to extend into Shepton Mallet, but for now, Mendip Vale is the end of the line.
